Diagnosis: SYSTEMIC LUPUS ERYTHEMATOSUS. VASCULARY PURPURA

HISTORY
- at 17 years old
it has appeared for the first time a skin eruption on the calfs; the eruption
had purpura aspect
- the eruption was unleashed or aggravated by the walk or by the sitting in
the vertically position; together with this eruption the patient had swelling
and pains burning-like to the same level; also she had fever
- at 20 years old she gave birth to a girl; in the time of the pregnancy the
sickness was aggravated; the eruption was more severely, persistently and extended
above the knees
- at 23 years old it has appeared joints pains and sometimes muscularly pains
- in 1997 (at 23 years old) the laboratory investigations shows:
- immunogram - GIg = 2688 IU/ml (normally: 100 –250)
- AIg = 436 IU/ml (normally: 70-330)
- MIg = 160 IU/ml (normally: 63-320)
- albuminuria positively
- circulating immune complexes = 70 FU (normally 0-50)
- erythrocytes sedimentation speed = 120 mm/1h
- CRP (C reactive protein) absent
- in December 2003, with the diagnosis of Systemic lupus erythematosus. Vasculary
purpura, the laboratory investigations shows:
- lupous cells present in the blood
- blood fibrinogen degradation factories ++++
- urine fibrinogen degradation factories +
- erythrocytes sedimentation speed = 110 mm/1h
- C reactive protein absent
- following the aggravation of the disease the patient practically could not
stay in vertically position because the eruption becomes almost permanently;
the patient was administrator to a shop, so she was obligated to pension off
at 29 years old for sickness reasons
- she made treatment with prednison ( a steroid drug) for one year in 2002;
then she start again the treatment with prednison from December 2003 (15 mg/day),
till she came to the first consultation; with this treatment she had the same
eruption as without the medication
THE SITUATION OF
THE PATIENT TO THE FIRST CONSULTATION
(June 30, 2004)
- purpura eruption,
swelling and pains to the inferior limbs, including the posteriors; the sufferance
has extended to the forearms
- the eruption and the swelling appears even when she is sitting in a chair;
she is practically obligated to sit almost al the time straight in the bed
- any easy strike determines rapidly bruise which disappeared after a long time
- from one month urination makes with low pressure
- since she takes prednison she has almost permanently symptoms cold-like; she
is coughing every time when she is drinking cold water
- she has no menstruation after an abortion by uterine curettage in December
2003
- cushing-like face
- weight = 56 Kg (before the treatment with prednison she had 44 Kg); height
= 1,60 m
WE STARTED THE API-PHITOTHERAPY, by taking the Prednison in continuously diminishing doses:
- 15 mg/day another
6 weeks
- after that, because the eruption was diminished, we decreased the dose with
2,5 mg each 10 days
THE SITUATION OF
THE PATIENT AFTER 3,5 MONTHS OF
TREATMENT (10.15.2004)
- the purpura eruption
began to diminish in the first month of treatment, until to disappeared; for
one month she had no eruption; actually it appears only a few elements of purpura,
only if she is walking a lot, 2-3 successive days; rarely swelling; no pains
- in normally conditions the eruption doesn’t appears anymore
- she has no more bruise at easy strikes
- the urination is normally
- she has no more symptoms cold-like; she don’t cough anymore
- the menstruation came back in 07.07.2004, and after that it was regularly,
monthly
- the face became to normal
- biologically parameters in August 30, 2004 (after 1,5 months of treatment)
- immunogram - GIg = 368 IU/ml (normally: 100 –250)
- AIg = 312 IU/ml (normally: 70-330)
- MIg = 150 IU/ml (normally: 63-320)
- erythrocytes sedimentation speed = 35 mm/1h
THE TREATMENT IN THE NEXT 2 MONTHS
1. Prednison completely eliminated (the last dose was of 2,5 mg/day)
2. Api-Phytotherapy
THE SITUATION OF
THE PATIENT AFTER ANOTHER 2 MONTH OF
TREATMENT (12.17.2004)
- the vasculary
eruption is reduced to a few purpura elements, which appears only on the right
calf, and only if she walks a long time, a few days successively; no swelling,
no pains
- no bruise
- urination normally
- no symptoms cold-like
- normally menstruation
- normally face
- weight = 52 Kg
- biologically
parameters:
- lupous cells absent in the blood
- proteinuria absent
- blood fibrinogen degradation factories negative
- urine fibrinogen degradation factories negative
- erythrocytes sedimentation speed = 95 mm/1h
- C reactive protein absent
THE CONTINUATION OF THE TREATMENT
1. Apitherapy
- we start the treatment with injectable bee venom
- internally administration: propolis, royal jelly, pollen, honey
2. Phitotherapy
THE SITUATION OF
THE PATIENT AFTER TWO MONTHS WITH
BVT (02.11.2005)
- the vasculary
eruption almost absent: just one time it has appeared a few elements of purpura
under the right knee
- she is living absolutely normally
- biologically parameters
- lupous cells absent in the blood
- immunogram - GIg = 560 UI/ml (normally: 100 –250)
- MIg = 200 UI/ml (normally: 63-320)
- AIg = 360 UI/ml (normally: 70-330)
- erythrocytes sedimentation speed = 103 mm/1h
1. THE PATIENT CONTINUES THE TREATMENT, for another two months, with Bee Products
and Medicinal Plants
ACTUALLY SITUATION OF THE PATIENT (MAY, 2005)
- no skin eruption
from many weeks
- she lives normally
- she feels very good, so she interrupted the treatment
