Diagnosis: Chronic obstructing arteriopathy of the lower limbs
History:
Former smoker – 2 packs of cigarettes per day.
1992 Diagnosis.
Obstruction of the left iliac (hip) artery. Severe stenosis of the right iliac
artery.
Walking was not possible.
Surgical intervention, with opening of the right and left external and internal
iliac artery, for the removal of atheromatosis plaque.
Subsequent treatment in the clinic, every 6 months, with prostanoid perfusion for the dis-obstruction of the arteries and permanent ambulatory treatment with anti-thrombosis and vasodilating drugs - until the first consultation.
On the first consulation
(September 3, 2003)
- he could not go upstairs in his own house; 2-3 steps one time, at the most,
and then pause, afterwards he could continue
- week pulse at the lower limbs arteries (lower pedis and tibial), especially
on the right side; not perceptible pulse at the popliteal arteries
After one month
of treatment with medicinal plants and apicultural products
- good improvements of walking ability
- improved bilateral puls; asymmetry still noticed with better puls on the left
side
After 2 months
of treatment
- able to go upstairs in his own house
- progressively improved puls on both sides
After 5 months
of treatment
- no subjective complaints; no pain whatsoever on the lower lims
- very improved puls on the pedis arteries, puls present on the posterior tibial
artery and the popliteal artery
- doppler ultra-sound examination (performed in Italy): arterial flow within
normal limits, i.e. 90% on the right lower limb and 100% on the left lower limb,
in conditions of diffuse atheromatosis of the iliac-femural-popliteal and tibial
arteries
- starts the bee venom treatment
After 6 months
of treatment
- normal symptomatic condition
- puls with normal aspect on the posterior pedis and tibial arteries
- continuing the bee venom treatment
After 9 months
of treatment
- normal symptomatic condition
- arteriography (performed in Italy) shows an aspect adequate to the age of
the aorta, iliac, femural, popliteal and tibial arteries
- treatment is stopped
After another 7
months – normal symptomatic conditions
